RB100.Fitness has officially launched RB100 Timer, a new race timing and live leaderboard platform designed specifically for hybrid fitness competitions, gym-based race simulations, and functional training events.
As hybrid racing continues to grow, many gyms have embraced race-style training formats inspired by large-scale events. However, the systems used to time and manage these simulations have often lagged behind. Manual timing, spreadsheets, and improvised workflows remain common, even in high-performance environments. RB100 Timer has been built to solve that problem.
At its core, RB100 Timer allows athletes to scan in using RFID wristbands or QR codes at each stage of a race. Every scan records a split time, advances the athlete to the next stage, and updates a live central leaderboard in real time. The result is a race experience that feels structured, competitive, and easy to follow for both athletes and spectators.
Unlike traditional event timing platforms, RB100 Timer has been designed to run locally inside the gym, using low-cost, widely available hardware. This approach removes reliance on constant internet connectivity and allows gyms to deploy the system quickly without expensive infrastructure.
“Hybrid racing has evolved faster than the systems used to support it,” said Richard Branson, Founder of RB100.Fitness. “RB100 Timer was built to give gyms a reliable way to run proper race simulations, with the structure and energy of a real event, without adding friction for coaches or athletes.”
Built for Real Gym Environments
RB100 Timer supports multiple scanner stations feeding into a single live leaderboard, allowing several athletes to race simultaneously without queues or bottlenecks. Athletes do not need to download an app or manage logins. They simply scan, race, and see their progress reflected instantly on screen.
The platform has been designed to support a wide range of race formats, including:
- HYROX-style simulations
- RB100-owned race formats such as RB100 Engine
- DEKA-style zone-based formats
- In-house gym competitions and team relays
- Charity and corporate fitness events
By separating race logic from hardware, RB100 Timer adapts easily to different gym layouts, capacities, and programming styles.

Introducing RB100 Engine
Alongside the platform launch, RB100.Fitness has introduced RB100 Engine, a flagship RB100 race format designed around consistency, repeatability, and benchmarking. RB100 Engine follows a fixed run and station structure using standardised distances and movements, and is offered across Open, Pro, and Elite divisions without altering the race flow.
The format is intended to sit alongside existing branded simulations, giving gyms an original race they can run regularly, track progress against, and fully own.
Designed to Scale With the Gym
RB100 Timer can operate entirely offline on a local network or be deployed in cloud-enabled configurations for larger events and multi-gym operators. This flexibility allows gyms to start with a minimal setup and scale as their race programming grows.
RB100 Timer is now entering an early rollout phase, with selected gyms already using the platform for simulation days, competitive training blocks, and in-house race events.
As RB100.Fitness continues to expand its technology offerings, RB100 Timer represents a significant step toward supporting the next generation of hybrid training environments where data, competition, and experience matter equally.
