The first thing you do in the morning sets the tone for the day. This RB100 Challenge is deceptively simple: take 100 steps before your first cup of coffee.

Why 100 steps? Because it’s doable for everyone, requires no gym, and reclaims your morning for movement, not mindless scrolling or autopilot routines.

“Before stimulation, create circulation.” — RB100.Fitness

Why It Works

  • Activates circulation and lubricates joints after sleep
  • Promotes wakefulness naturally before caffeine
  • Reinforces identity: you’re a mover first, not a coffee zombie
  • Reduces stiffness, especially if you sit a lot during the day
  • Powers habit stacking (movement → coffee → journaling)

These 100 steps could be around your kitchen, in your garden, hallway, or outside in fresh air. You don’t need to track perfectly — just move with intention.

How to Make It Stick

  • Place your trainers by your bed
  • Keep your phone away from the bed (replace the scroll)
  • Make it part of a morning ritual — steps, coffee, journaling
  • Share your morning step snapshot on your fitness tracker

If you wear a smart tracker (Garmin, Apple Watch, Fitbit), set a 100-step goal reminder as your first metric of the day.
